Phaseless Characterization of Compact Antenna Test Range via Improved Alternating Projection Algorithm

A practical compact antenna test range (CATR) requires good quiet zone quality for characterization. This paper addresses the phase profile of CATR from known intensity pattern spatial domain and Fourier based on a combined alternating projection algorithm. The proposed algorithm is composed Gerchberg–Saxton (GS) Hybrid Input–Output (HIO) algorithms two with perturbation (SPP) work collaboratively or independently under predesigned conditions. It observed that random initial guess can always converge to an optimal solution by performing series hierarchical optimizations problem. numerical results are in agreement simulated different frequency bands, overcoming retrieval limitation local convergence iterative process. Furthermore, validate effectiveness robustness procedure, related discussions corresponding sampling areas signal noise ratios (SNRs) given.
